Skull Drawing

Skull drawing is something that is very popular now and it will always be, with tattoos and art that requires a skull design, I find it quite relaxing to draw skulls for some reason, maybe because I'm used to drawing them on a near daily basis.

The how to's in drawing skulls is simply on how to draw a skull from scratch and there are many drawing tutorials I am working on, but I've done a few so far to give you a little inspiration in drawing skulls. And so here they are....

How to draw a flaming skull - Flaming skulls are great in tattoo designs and therefore I go through a step by step process of this classic skull to draw, of course I'd like to do a few more flaming skull variations drawn i a few different art styles.

Learn to draw a skull- Draw a basic skull on a side profile. Again I hope to do more with these drawing tutorials too especially with drawing different skull types, but nevertheless a good start, if I say so myself

Skull art designs do look very effective as tattoos though I might add and this is what I am trying to do an ebook about drawing variations of Skull tattoos, but my list of things to do is growing and I don't know when it will be out, but I hope it's soon, because I want to create more ebook resources on different drawing topics.

In this video I quickly sketch out a twisted skull design, which isn't exactly perfect, but it gives a hint at what you could achieve with the many different designs of a skull that is possible. Skulls can be stretched and fattened to however you like and so the trick is to just sketch and see what your imagination can come up with.

In the following video I just show you a skull drawing that I did in around 20 minutes, all I did was draw the skull and shade it slightly. As I mention in the video I use a HB pencil and with some small amounts of shading and hard pencil lines with a 2B pencil.

The end result is of an evil skull design that looks almost comic book in style and this is the way that I generally draw skulls and you'll find your own art style for drawing skulls as time goes on.
