Successful Forum Posting For Viral Marketing

Successfully using forums is one of the top viral marketing methods that will definitely help your marketing efforts. But there are a range of things that are required and they are some research and homework which must be done for you to achieve some great results from this popular viral marketing method.

Here's what you should be doing with forum marketing...

Join forums that are super relevant to your own interests and business niche, so that you can integrate your forums posts into conversations that are very relevant. So for example if you was in a niche that was about RC planes, there would be forums about this topic and it would be worth your while to join these forums.

Remember to pick a popular forum that gets many posts a day or is highly trafficked, because there is no point in trying to post on a dead forum as there will be no one to answer or follow your posts. Look for high page ranks in forums and high numbers of posts and replies as these are good indicators of a good forum to join.

Always go with a forum that allows you to add a forum signature, you can often check this out in the forum rules and policies before joining to save some time. A forum signature is simply a quick sentence about your business summed up into a few nice keywords and then your link. Try and make it an anchor text link that relates to your niche.

Once you have joined a few good forums to start posting in, it is best to set aside some quality time to get used to the forums and start contributing in them, there are no rules other than just be useful and help others where ever possible, the idea is to ot spend too much time in the forums, but enough to provide value and create a presence within these forums as they are good gathering sites for niche focused individuals.

Try not to post forum posts that are just advertisements as this just comes across as obvious and they may get deleted by the forum admin, you really want to come across as an experienced marketer, but more than anything a knowledgable person in the subject that the forum is about.

Be concise with your forum posting, regular forum dwellers are on there every night or day, but that's not you have to do, just pick a time throughout the week, maybe 3 hours spread out through the week for forum posting and stick to it, the time you spend will be invaluable and you'll get to know other posters, remember to ask questions as well as answering them too.

By building a good reputation you help promote your website or product without directly promoting it, try forum marketing today and be good!
