Iron man 2 is a direct sequel to the first movie in which Robert Downey Jr plays the rich Tony Stark, an arrogant businessman who daringly at the end of the first Iron Man movie announces to the world that he is Iron Man. Iron Man is another comic book movie that seems all the rage these days and quite rightly so with the Avengers, Captain America and Thor all due out soon.
The story is somewhat lacking here, although it's not that bad, just slightly weak and Mickey Rourke plays a good part that just isn't really enough of a threat really at the end it seems. Tony Stark is dying because of his reactor in his chest and so the first half of the story is of him being reckless and with attitude he declares to the world and himself that he doesn't give a damn, but his PA Gwyneth Paltrow does care and attempts to steer him clear.
The main part of the story is a classic one in the spirit of comic book hereoes who are flawed, as they have to go through a period of uncertainty to realise that they are indeed a true hero, it happened to Spiderman and Batman in the movies and in the comic books and so as previously stated the first half of the movie deals with this and also shifts the second half of the movie back into Stark being Iron Man the hero.
Unlike other comic book movies, this one attempts to tie in other strands of the Marvel comic book universe with Agent Fury and the Black Widow and with small mentions to the Avengers and a half built prototype of Captain Americas shield.
The ending of the movie is quite average and wasn't as good as the first movie I thought, but still it held it's own in a different way and tried to make itself known and different, but it did feel like a repetitive story in some respects.

this movie had some faults, but I still enjoyed it.
The movie was good but not great. I do find Scarlett Johansson to be quite beautiful and her appearance as the Black Widow was nice, but if that's the best one can say about a movie, then it certainly has issues.
Good review. Voted up.

The movie kept me entertained but wasn't as good as I hoped. Nice review.
This movie was average at best. Good review. I agree with your overview.
