Drawing Creepy Monsters

Creepy monsters are them types of monsters that you can draw that look well creepy. I've always thought of creepy monsters as being hidden somewhere in the shadows and are surrounded in darkness and can look evil to the very strange, but they look just creepy and the influences range from real life animals and insects to the wilder parts of an artists imagination.

So what I've arrange here is just from my wild imagination, as that is the best place to come up with a monster creature that would be at home in a creepy cave or sewer.

To draw a monster at it's creepiest, all you need is a pencil and paper and your imagination to bring to life a scary monster that could live in an imaginary world and the beginning sketches are the best, because you can see something appearing right before your eyes and it's exciting to see that, especially if you get the drawing right in the early draft stages.

In the following two videos, I purposefully created something dark and that was inspired by the head of a bug and then I drew the rest as if it would be human, but obviously you can tell it's not. That's the best thing about drawing from your imagination as you can swap, borrow and change any part of a drawing and create something totally unique, that it's yours.

Watch the two videos below and see how you yourself can draw a creepy monster of your very own.

If you are interested in this, why not check out How to draw a monster, were you can try out drawing another of my monster creations in a slightly different way.
