How To Draw A Flaming Skull
71Skull Photo - Study It Awhile
Drawing A Flaming Skull
Skulls, the popular emblem of the pirate or a great tattoo design entwined with tribal swirls and frilly design elements.
This is a hub page simply on how to draw a flaming skull, simple enough right?
When drawing a skull for the first time you may have to study a reference photo of a skull to make your drawing look correct and in keeping with the many variations of a piece of skull art, so that's what I have provided to the right==>
Skull Drawing Variations
The Importance Of Draft Sketches
To see if your ideas and sketches could work it is best to sketch them out quickly so that you can save time on a final version of your intended idea, sketching a few skulls out on a piece of paper with no regard for precise drawings you can create some top ideas if you draw quick.
Draft sketches let you design or draw something to find the perfect angle or design so that you don't have to go back and draw your artwork again, planning like this should come natural once you draw often.
Quick sketches really help you become a faster artist at coming up with new ideas and it's a form of brainstorming that exercises your mind in a creative way.
So always sketch things out and take as much time as you like to find the right design, you'll find that using this method you save on wasted time working on a drawing if you had not planned with quick sketches.
See some examples below.
Draughting And Sketching Flaming Skull Ideas
Drafting A Skull Sketch
Simple Step 1: Find Your Skull Face
Finding your skull face is just a term for loosely sketching out your design, finding your position of the skull and deciding on what it could look like.
I'll often do little sketches on one sheet of A4 size paper(See above!) to get a feel for the design that I want, although what often happens is I come up with lots of variations that will look good also for separate skull designs, so I concentrate on one first and work on that one until I see it through, only then do I go back and finish the others.
After this little exercise you should know which little skull sketch you want to develop in some way.
Developing The Draft Sketch
Simple Step 2: Developing The Skull Drawing
When it comes to developing your skull sketch drawing you have to work the lines more to see if you can push the drawing beyond your initial draft sketch to see what else you could add.
Often I work in bright daylight for best results, as I can see little imperfections on the paper and it's these that I tend to try and follow to see where the drawing will lead me and add something to the sketch.
Clarifying Your Skull Drawing
Simple Step 3: Finalizing Your Skull Design
Arriving at the conclusion of a drawing there is no turning back and so the path is forward on your skull drawing, seeing the elements that you planned from the beginning come together is a good feeling, because quite often as an artist there are many throw away drawings and concepts that don't make it to the final design.

Your drawings are great, Waynet .
I am starting to draw, I find your guides helpful .
one cool thing about art.. you don't have to draw things like they look (teeth can look different and you can draw flames how ever you want) if that's his style of drawing, let him do it
dis shyt was kinda hawt, i lyked it tho
you could forego this entire guide and just say "draw a skull from reference and change the structure of the eye sockets to look angry."
Also, there is more than one type of tooth in your average skull. incisors look more menacing and i dont know how you could miss them. Flames dont generally tend to lick downwards either, and centering them around the shape of the head does nothing to make it look like they're emanating from it.
leave him alone linda. he can do what he wants. dont criticize him.
good drawings I love them
man!!! you need to stop drawing stuff like this...it is ugly and eveil...like really your like an adult and ur drawing little kid stuff????????haha
