Online art supply stores are everywhere, but Dickblick has been around for awhile online and provides many artists good value art supplies, Dick Blick started out in their make shift kitchen warehouse that Mr and Mrs Dick Blick used to work on their products back in 1911, their first product was a lettering pen that apparently was a top seller.

The company was acquired over 35 years later by a businessman named Robert Metzenberg and it was from then on the business grew tremendously to the branded company it is today, now having expanded to hundreds of employees that deal with various aspects of a thriving art supply business, Dickblick remains Americas top online and offline art supply store that supplies to schools, colleges, amateur and professional artists alike.

This art supplies company releases a few free product catalogues every month that inform customers of new product lines and supplies that maybe of interest, although this is primarily a U.S art supply company they do ship some items internationally, but they don't ship electrical items for obvious reasons of difference in electrics and voltages etc and also flammable chemical based paint products they won't allow to ship, but if you can order them and have them ship internationally then you have to be prepared to pay tax and any duties that are related to the items that are to be delivered.

One of the things that I like about the Dickblick site is that they have lesson plans which you can read the PDF's or watch the videos for certain art projects and I've found this hugely inspirational and interesting to look at.

Dickblick is also home to a very popular artists forum Wetcanvas where you can learn from other artists and interact with other creative types.
