Crayola Crayons For Coloring Artwork

Crayola crayons are a classic kids choice of crayons and they are surprisingly good for older artists color work too for certain art projects and so coloring with them is very easy if you understand that colors can be complimented by similar shades of color and with the Crayola crayon range there are lots of colors to choose from.

In the video below I go through a quick demonstration of the crayola crayons as I draw a Halloween pumpkin drawing that I did previously for Drawing Halloween Stuff and really coloring with Crayola crayons are as easy as just scribbling the color on in an organized fashion and that's it.

One of the main reasons for this video demonstration is to show that exploring art is fun aswell as easy to follow for yourself. Nothing should stop you from creating art if that's what you want to do. Removing all doubts from your mind that the drawing or colors won't work, just experiment with them and see what works instead, you'll probably find some happy accidents with most artists mediums and some cool effects can be created.

So, watch the art video below and do nothing but get inspired by seeing a classic art crayon do some great color work with little effort and no hard coloring pressure should really be applied as you can add layers of color with these crayons.

Draw And Colour With Crayola Crayons

Drawing and coloring with Crayola crayons you can really add bright patches of colour and you don't have to press hard on the crayons either as the pigment comes through quite well and the blending possibilities are excellent too.

In the following art video I have colored a Halloween pumpkin, which was also drawn by me and using Crayola crayons with oranges and yellows was able to achieve the right balance of colors that make up a classic pumpkin design for Halloween. Layering in with a shade of orange against the main lines of the drawing you are able to create a sense of depth and really bring that pumpkin to life. Then it's just a case of using a yellow crayon to smooth the gaps in and blend the yellow and orange together making a more appealing color which flows on paper.

A green and yellow can be used for the stalk or stem which I did on my pumpkin design. A Halloween pumpkin drawing colored with Crayola crayons can make a great design on a card, a canvas or as a decoration for Halloween itself. Drawing with Crayola crayons has never been so much fun and brings back memories of school creating art projects.

I am 47 years old and I love to color! Okay I said it. I will only use Crayola. Other crayons are just to waxy.

Cheers now SteveoMC!

Crayons are super cool at times, as they are easier to apply to a drawing or just color some stuff in.
